Community poem

As I walk down these streets from day to day,
my impression about this place will never change.

I see people of all different sorts,
but mainly college students just like me.
The guy that goes crazy at every U of M sport,
or the kid you always see at the library.

I hear constant talking among friends.
The topics depends on who they are.
Like what TV show is the new "trend",
or who they think they're gonna vote for.

I feel safe almost at all times.
There's a student, just sleeping there
not worried if there will be a crime,
Laying on the grass without any fear.

I smell all sorts of aromas in the air.
The clean air because of all the trees.
There's tons of restaurants everywhere,
the scent of the food carried with the breeze.

I was born and raised in this Ann Arbor community,
its my home, like a fish in the deep blue sea.

I enjoyed reading your poem. I liked the organization of it and the rhyme scheme. The only thing I would consider revising would be the syllables in each line to create a better rhythm

I think you did a good job on describing your community. I also agree with saad about making the rythem of the poem flow a little better with changing the syllables by maybe changing a word to something else.
