A massive genocide took place in Rwanda in 1994. It lasted from April to July. Rwanda is located in central Africa. A group called the Hutu were the majority of the people, and the extremist leaders ordered a mass extermination of the Tutsi minority. It finally ended when a Tutsi group forced the Hutu extremist group out of the country. But the result was that half of the population of 7.9 million had been killed. The central African region still hasn't stabilized from this event. This is speaking the unspeakable because it's unbelievable that genocide like this is still happening.
